Faculty of Medicine and Health

  • Opportunity to provide a broad range of education administrative and operational support to Academic and Teaching staff to meet the educational (teaching and curriculum) support needs of the Faculty
  • Located at Camperdown campus with possibility of travel to Cumberland (Lidcombe) or Westmead Campuses
  • Continuing and Fixed Term (2 Years), full-time opportunities with a base salary of $74K p.a with leave loading and superannuation

About the opportunity

We are in a period of exciting and significant investment in our Faculty of Medicine and Health and in order to deliver on the University’s ambitious strategic plan, we are looking for Education Administration Officers to join the Education Unit based at the Camperdown Campus with possible travel involved to Lidcombe/Westmead Campuses.

Under the broad direction of the Education Support Lead, some of your responsibilities will be:

  • provide a broad range of administrative and operational support to Academic and Teaching staff to meet the educational (teaching and curriculum) support needs of the Faculty
  • support the compilation of academic content and materials prepared by Academic and Teaching staff for research-based programs of study, for printed publications and/or uploading to blackboard Canvas/online systems
  • provide education support services in line with academic requirements and the overall timetable for the work area
  • support accreditation requirements for one or more programs of study
  • ensure compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory controls and ensures a safe working environment for all staff and students. 

These roles will be embedded in the schools or precincts across the Faculty and may be required to travel between locations to support other work areas.

  • effective and tactful communication skills (both verbal and written) together with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement, along with the ability to prioritise workload during busy periods   
  • excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes
  • superior computer skills, including database maintenance, experience with Microsoft Officer (Excel) together with experience operating with large, corporate-level database and information systems.
