Role Description

Cranfield University’s Communications and External Affairs (CEA) team welcomes applications from passionate digital marketing and communications professionals to join our team. Reporting to the Director of CEA, as the Head of Web and User Experience, you will play a key role in delivering a dynamic web presence for our customers.

As the UK’s only specialist postgraduate university, Cranfield’s world-class expertise, large-scale facilities and unrivalled industry partnerships creates leaders in technology and management globally.

Our people are our most valuable resource and everyone has a role to play in shaping the future of our University, developing our learners, and transforming the businesses and partners we work with.

We are seeking someone who can own the University’s web development roadmap, working collaboratively with IT and colleagues in other professional services teams to ensure the roadmap plans, projects and timings meet the strategic direction and priorities of the University.

You will develop and execute a comprehensive web strategy, which includes analysis of web performance to support the University's communications priorities, recruitment campaigns, alumni, fundraising and branding.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have substantial experience of working in a digital marketing or communications team in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritise a demanding workload to meet deadlines. You will have excellent attention to detail and highly developed influencing and team-working skills.  In return, you will work in a highly collaborative and passionate environment and make an impact on our students and customers.

We believe that success is not only about what we achieve, but how we achieve it. Our shared, stated values help to define who we are and underpin everything we do. Learn more here.

At Cranfield, we value diversity and inclusion, and aim to create and maintain a culture in which everyone can work and study together harmoniously with dignity and respect and realise their full potential.

We actively consider flexible working options such as part-time, compressed or flexible hours and/or an element of homeworking, and commit to exploring the possibilities for each role.  Please visit https://www.cranfield.ac.uk/about/working-at-cranfield/diversity to find out more.

Our equal opportunities and diversity monitoring has shown that women and minority ethnic groups are currently under-represented within the University and so we encourage applications from eligible candidates from these groups.
