Job Description Summary
Provide high quality patient care to ward patients in Fluid therapy, Ortho/ST wards, medicine and isolation on the overnight weekend shift.
Job Description
Veterinary Technician A 0-1 year of experience, CVT eligible within 3 months
Veterinary Technician B 2-3 years of relevant experience and a CVT
Veterinary Technician C 3-4 years of relevant experience and a CVT
Veterinary Technician D 5+ years of experience and a CVT
This is an overnight weekend shift, 6p-6a F-Sun, 36 hour shift.
This nurse is responsible for patient care in Fluids, Iso, Medicine and Soft Tissue surgery. This nurse will be proficient in CRI's, IV catheter placement, administering all forms of medications, pain management, infectious disease case management, and teaching veterinary and nursing students.
Qualifications:
Must be a CVT or board eligible within 3 months of hire.
Strong technical skills
Strong medical knowledge base
Ability to multi task and stay calm under pressure
Working conditions can be noisy. Physical effort required: Standing, kneeling, bending, for prolonged periods of time and ability to lift 25-50 pounds with help.
