Job Description Summary

Staff Veterinarian to provide Dentistry and Oral Surgery Service at Ryan Veterinary Hospital.  Instruct and teach veterinary students, rotating interns/residents.  Provide  clinical care to dentistry and oral surgery patients in veterinary hospital. Communicate with referring veterinarians, and facilitate communication with other services and clinicians.

Job Description

Position will provide clinical supervision and training to Dentistry and Oral Surgery residents and participate in didactic teaching of Veterinary students. In addition to providing services during standard clinical hours, will also be available for emergency duties night and weekends as designated by Dentistry and Oral Surgery Head.

Will participate in collegial efforts to explore revenue generating initiatives.

Responsibilities/Duties

  1. Provide Dentistry and Oral Surgery consultations and services
  2. Provide clinical supervision and instruct residents, interns, students
  3. Participate in teaching rounds
  4. Provide on-call duties as needed
  5. Provide lectures to students in pre-clinical years
  6. Complete patient records and write referral letters

Qualifications

DVM/VMD; 1- 2 years of experience; or equivalent.  Must be board certified.
