About the position

The Governance and Administrative Officer provides high level executive administration, organisational and events management support to the Company Secretary and General Counsel.  This position is the initial contact of all communication with the Company Secretary and General Counsel, it also provides logistic support and events management for the Chancellery.  Additional responsibilities include monitoring office expenditure and assistance the Chancellery administration time when required.

Working with a high degree of discretion, this position will also provide executive administration support to the Chancellor, members of the University Council and the Vice Chancellors Offices as require.

About the person:

To be considered for this appointment you will possess a tertiary qualification, together with extensive executive administration or legal secretary experience. You will be able to work with a high degree of independence, and have strong organisational, interpersonal and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail, transcription, editing and proof-reading experience is essential, as is the ability priorities tasks to ensure deadlines are met.

Demonstrated political acumen to work in an executive office, experience working with confidential and sensitive information and the ability to exercise professional judgment, including resolving issues with a high degree of confidentiality is required.

The salary range for this appointment is $67 124 - $78 198 plus 17.5% superannuation per annum, negotiable on skills and experience.
