Job Details

The King’s College London Faculty of Natural & Mathematical Sciences are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual to fill the new post of Quality Assurance Manager.

The post is based in the Faculty Professional Services Education Team.  The Faculty of Natural and Mathematical Sciences is an ambitious and progressive organisation with an outstanding reputation in a range of disciplines across Engineering, Science and Technology. We continue to strengthen via a range of projects, initiatives and substantial capital investments to broaden the weight and depth of our disciplines, with significant planned growth in student and staff numbers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on delivering all aspects of quality assurance in the Faculty in support of this growth and strengthening.  The role will work closely with academic and professional services colleagues in the Faculty’s departments and the wider QA function to ensure compliance, improve consistency, and plan, develop and implement improvements across a range of activities.

King’s is a friendly and collegiate organisation with a focus on people and work/life balance. In this role, you’ll combine an open and inclusive approach with excellent decision making and organisational skills, and strong communication and influencing skills to negotiate with a range of colleagues as you work through a complex balance of both longer-term priorities for the organisation and its immediate needs.

Professional development is a key area for the Faculty and we want to support your career, so incoming staff will join the Quality Assurance Network (a community of practice designed to share knowledge and prioritise skills development) and will be encouraged to take advantage of a range of training opportunities via King’s Organisational Development.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.

This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent.

The selection process will include a panel interview and a presentation.

For an informal discussion, please contact Josephine Bardswell, josephine.bardswell@kcl.ac.uk/ 020 7848 2347.

To apply, please register with the King’s College London application portal and complete your application online.

The university is in the top seven UK universities for research earnings and has an overall annual income of more than £684 million.
