Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy (Ref.: 499461), to commence in March 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a three-year fixed-term basis.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, medicinal chemistry or allied sciences. Work experience in the pharmaceutical industry or academia and at least 3 years of teaching experience at undergraduate level  is necessary.  Preference will be given to those with experience in curriculum development, assessment and student evaluation. The major duty will be teaching.  The appointee may have the opportunity to supervise undergraduate research projects.  Those who have responded to the previous advertisement (Ref.: 499059) need not re-apply.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.   The appointment will attract a contract end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
