Job Description

Candidates will be able to teach one or two fields in economics (including econometrics). We are particularly interested in candidates with strong quantitative training, and who can teach a wide variety of classes in theoretical and empirical economics. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach Labour Economics, Development Economics, International Trade, and Contemporary Economy of China.

Job Qualifications

• Holder of a Doctoral degree in Economic;
• Proven record of research, with high quality publications and research grants in the related field;
• Excellence in undergraduate or postgraduate teaching;
• Proficiency in independent research leading to outstanding outcomes, including publications in high quality international-refereed journals and contribute significantly to the development of the Faculty of Finance;
• Good command in English and Chinese language.

Remuneration

The remuneration and appointment rank offered will be competitive and commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualifications, current position and professional experience. The compensation/benefits are competitive. Currently, the highest marginal personal tax rate in Macao is 12%. But the effective tax rate is around 5% to 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
