Duties:
The Executive Director of Teacher Education Programs is responsible for implementing the vision for 4 distinct programs: Urban Teaching Apprenticeship Program (UTAP), Independent School Teaching Residency (ISTR), Urban Teacher Residency Program (UTR). This will include, but is not limited to, program oversight and administration, staff supervision, managing grant proposals (and other funding sources), budget management, and faculty oversight. The Executive Director will define and articulate the programs’ vision and purposes, evaluate existing infrastructures, and create synergies and opportunities across programs.
Qualifications:
A master’s degree and 10+ years of experience is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Doctorate preferred. Experience with teacher education programs is required; experience with urban education is necessary. A successful candidate must have demonstrated leadership ability in providing strategic vision, administrative oversight, and operational management. Management experience is required. Experience working in higher education and with faculty highly preferred. Must have student engagement experience.
