Job Description

Adam Naj’s Lab, part of the Penn Neurodegeneration Genomics Center (PNGC), is seeking a skilled Bioinformatics Programmer to participate in on-going research in large-scale genomics and transcriptomics projects looking at Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and AD-related dementias (ADRDs).   The lab benefits from close collaboration with talented programmers, analysts, and lab technologists in the Schellenberg and Wang groups in the PNGC, and offers opportunities for career development and academic advancement at PSOM.

This position is contingent on funding.

Qualification

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent degree in genetics, epidemiology, bioinformatics, statistics, biology or other related fields. Experience with management and analysis of human genetics data such as genome-wide association studies or next-generation sequencing data is required. Familiarity with R.Linux, SAS, Stata, C/C++, SQL, or web development strongly preferred.
