INTERNATIONAL ENGAGEMENT AND COORDINATION

  • Fixed term, part-time appointment (2 days per week, to December 2020)

As a leading Australian university with a strong international presence, the University of Wollongong provides and supports an active study abroad and student exchange program along with short term mobility for both domestic and international students. The Office of Global Student Mobility (OGSM) forms part of the International Engagement & Coordination Unit (IEC) within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Strategy) portfolio.

The Office of Global Student Mobility (OGSM) is currently seeking a full time Student Mobility Coordinator who will be responsible for ongoing liaison with both outbound and inbound participants and advisers and involves a high level of judgement and experience on matters including critical incident management, subject advising and program counselling, admissions, housing, financial support, pre-departure, orientation and re-entry.

The successful applicant will work in concert with 1 other Student Mobility Coordinator to manage the caseload which currently involves approximately 1400 applicants per year (inbound and outbound students) with 200+ overseas partner universities or programs which includes semester or year-long semester programs, Visiting Research Programs, short courses such as faculty-led programs, overseas practical placements and internships.
