Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Cardiology, is searching for an assistant professor with specialization in the area of Cardiac Imaging. The appointee will have a mix of outpatient and inpatient cardiology clinic, inpatient cardiac imaging service and consultation. The appointee will be able to staff clinics at multiple sites including Chicagoland suburbs and Northwest Indiana. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students.  Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and echocardiography, 4) have broad knowledge of 3D echocardiography, 4) be trained, certified and have experience in cardiac MR/CT, 6) have cardiac imaging experience, and 7) have experience in using transesophageal echocardiography to guide structural heart disease procedures.
