Position overview

ANU has an international reputation for its research and education in health and medicine. Its work includes discovery research, applied research in health service settings, research-led teaching in health and medical sciences, and the translation of research findings into practice and policy.

The ANU College of Health and Medicine (CHM) comprises the Research School of Psychology, the ANU Medical School, the John Curtin School of Medical Research and the Research School of Population Health. These schools work together to deliver world-class research and education across the spectrum of medicine and health-related fields, working in partnership with the health sector at local, national and international levels.

ANU CHM has embarked on a project to increase the impact of the University’s offerings in health and medicine at the local, national and global levels. As an experienced Communications Manager, you will coordinate the development and management of the project communications strategy.

The successful candidate will have exceptional written and verbal communications skills with experience in developing effective, targeted and engaging communications materials. Their experience will span business change and stakeholder engagement, working in large and complex organisations. They will have an evidenced record of identifying, analysing and preparing for risks, developing issues management strategies, and an ability to liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure fit for purpose communications.
