Founded in 2002, in response to requests from the local business community, the Business School’s Discipline of Business Information Systems has become a vibrant group, internationally recognised for its high-impact research, unorthodox scholarship in the field of digital technology, leadership in business education, and high-profile industry engagement.

We are seeking to appoint a senior academic at the level of Professor or Associate Professor who will:

• provide research leadership and conduct individual and joint research
• introduce colleagues to research contacts and research networks
• foster a collaborative and collegial approach to research
• actively contribute to the governance of the discipline

With a PhD in Information Systems or a related field, you will have expertise in one or more of the discipline’s major research areas, as well as the ability to develop and maintain strong links with business and industry. You will be able to demonstrate excellence and leadership in teaching, including a track record of successful PhD supervision, and be a leading researcher in your field with publications in highly ranked international journals and success in obtaining competitive research grants.

Term and remuneration

The successful applicants will be offered a full-time continuing position, subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation and confirmation period for new appointees, and will be offered an attractive remuneration package commensurate with the responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.
