The main task of the Grant Office at CEITEC MU is preparation of project proposals within the local as well as international calls for tenders. The Grant Office submits around hundreds of project proposals every year, including dozens of international proposals. Furthermore, the Grant Office participates in organization of trainings, seminars and workshops about planned and announced projects. We provide researchers with specialised consultancy focused on grant strategies and suitable calls for tenders. As a member of the Grant Office team you will be active in creative writing. You will acquire and strengthen your knowledge of proposals and possibilities of local as well as European grant sources. CEITEC MU is an institution based on excellent researchers who need to receive grant support during obtaining further sources for their research; it is of great importance to them. 

Currently, we are looking for a new colleague who would join our Grant Office team. He/she will be responsible for preparation of project applications from local providers as well as those from abroad. We wish to find someone who is communicative, systematic, dutiful and accurate; someone who is able to transform ideas into reality and ready to search for new possibilities within the system of grant schemes.

What will be your daily job?

  • Searching for and active creation of opportunities to submit a project, above all international cooperation in life science
  • Management and coordination of project proposal preparation, proposal writing, support with budget preparation
  • Communication with project partners and providers in the phase of project preparation and contracts negotiations regarding approved projects
  • Final revision of proposals and sending the drafts to grant providers
  • Info service for researchers and individual consultancy in the area of grant strategy
  • Participation in trainings, workshops and info days regarding project calls and schemes
  • Preparation and realisation of seminars and trainings for researchers focused not only on international project schemes

What you should be like:

  • High school/ University degree
  • Experience in project management or administration, especially in international environment would be an advantage but not unconditionally required
  • Experience with research in the field of life sciences would be an advantage but not unconditionally required
  • Pro-active approach, excellent communication skills, ability to negotiate in multicultural environment, organization skills
  • Systematic and responsible approach to work, ability to follow and enforce strict deadlines
  • Advanced level of spoken and written English language
  • Ability to write texts well, very good stylistics
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
