The School of Computing has an ambitious research programme in Algorithms and Complexity that is delivering world-class graduates, and strengthening the School’s internationally leading research base in the field. 

We are seeking an outstanding candidate with a track record of excellence that aligns with the School’s Algorithms and Complexity Research Theme, and in particular that has research expertise at the interface of Discrete Mathematics and algorithmic aspects of Theoretical Computer Science. 

You will work closely with other staff in the theme. As Lecturer, you will carry out research, teaching and management within the school, faculty and university and contribute to academic leadership in the field of Computer Science. For appointments at Associate Professor Level, you must also be able to demonstrate international standing in your field, a track record of successful and substantive grant applications, the capacity to deliver an outstanding student experience and an ability to undertake successful academic leadership.

Holding a PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline, you will have demonstrable research expertise in an area relevant to the post, as listed above, and a proven record of teaching in a University environment, with an enthusiastic approach to teaching computer science.
