About the Job

The Veterans Medicines Advice and Therapeutics Education Services (Veterans MATES) program has improved the health of veterans by providing up to date health and medicines information specifically tailored for veterans and their general practitioners. Veterans’ MATES provides direct patient-based feedback to general practitioners. This is supported with educational materials developed by a clinical panel, which are peer reviewed and overseen by a national representative editorial committee. Pharmacists and veterans also receive supporting educational material.

The Development Coordinator is responsible for undertaking a range of research activities and coordinating module development activities for the Veterans’ MATES project. The position will also assist in the maintenance of positive relationships with key stakeholders to the Program and facilitate stakeholder consultation.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have postgraduate qualifications in medicine, pharmacy, nursing or a health-related discipline and demonstrated experience and knowledge in health promotion to provide informed and specific advice.

You will have excellent report writing skills, suited to developing educational materials for health professionals and consumers paired with excellent organisational skills and project management experience, including the ability to achieve deliverables and outcomes within specified timelines in a research setting.

You will have highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
