Job Description

  • Provide events management support to the Centre’s Technology-enhanced Learning (TEL) teaching and learning internal and external events, including venue sourcing, vendors management, engagement and liaison with speakers and stakeholders, arrangement of travel and accommodation needs, event publicity and registration, food and beverage catering, preparation of event materials/ resources for participants, logistical requirements and support, and collation of post-event feedback for reporting to stakeholders
  • Develop and strengthen the SMU TEL brand and identity through designing publicity collaterals including development, refinement and reproducing of EDMs and publicity materials
  • Maintain and update ASEAN University Network Technology Enhanced Learning (AUN-TEPL) website, TEL dashboard and external partners contact list database
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the Centre’s TEL-related programmes and initiatives
  • Organise and provide secretariat functions for TEL-related meetings
  • Review, and recommend improvement to office administrative policies, systems and procedures pertaining to TEL-related matters
  • Manage the procurement of TEL goods and services for the Centre
  • Handle the necessary paperwork and processes to ensure timely payment to relevant parties

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree, with at least 3 years of relevant working experience preferred
  • Administrative experience and good working knowledge in human resources and finance, preferably in an institute of higher learning
  • Meticulous, strong coordination and organization skills with an eye for details
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer-orientation in terms of the ability and willingness to go the extra mile to deliver value-added experiences
  • Good planning and organisation skills
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • A good team player who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive / Google applications (e.g. Google Form, Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Sheets, etc.)
  • Expertise in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and / or others
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript would be an added advantage

Other Information

Candidates who do not possess the stipulated qualifications but have relevant work experience may still apply. Remuneration and appointment terms shall commensurate with qualifications and experience. SMU reserves the right to modify the appointment terms where necessary.
