Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor (2 posts) in the Department of Pathology and the State Key Laboratory of Liver Research (Ref.: 499235), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in biomedical science, bioinformatics, genetics, cancer molecular biology or other relevant disciplines, with at least 3 years’ postdoctoral experience and a strong publication record. Preference will be given to those with solid experience in cancer research, molecular biology, bioinformatics, and computational biology. Hands-on experience in grant application will be an advantage. The abilities to work independently as well as collaboratively, and to contribute intellectually to research development are prerequisites for the position. The appointees will work under the supervision of Professor Irene Ng to investigate the molecular and cellular mechanisms of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
