Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 499256), to commence as soon as possible for three years, with the possibility of renewal.  

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree preferably in cancer, molecular biology or cellular biology related fields, with experience in animal work, cell culture, cellular and molecular biology.  Preference will be given to those with research experience in flow cytometry, bioinformatics, cancer biology and gastrointestinal cancer (i.e. liver or gastric).  Applicants should be self-motivated, have the ability to multi-task with attention to detail, be organized and able to work independently as well as in a team.  They should also have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.  The appointee will work under the supervision of Dr. Stephanie Ma on research projects relating to exploiting stemness as a cancer cell vulnerability.  For further information, please contact Dr. Stephanie Ma at stefma@hku.hk.  Details of Dr. Ma’s research can be found at http://thesmalab.com/.
