About the role

  • Level A: $95,449 to 102,091 per annum (+17% super and leave loading)
  • Fixed term (36 months) starting in March 2020
  • Full-time

UNSW Canberra has 2 positions for Research Associates in Capability Systems Design & Analysis. These new roles will be in the Capability Systems Centre (CSC) at UNSW Canberra which is a centre of research excellence focused on disciplines related to the development, acquisition and sustainment of capability throughout the life cycle; including systems engineering, systems thinking and modelling, systems science, requirements engineering, complex systems and project management.

You will be joining an established and supportive team to undertake research (fundamental & applied) in the multidisciplinary area of modelling and simulation. You will develop your research to be published in peer reviewed journals and conferences as well as having the opportunity to assist in sessional teaching activities.

About the successful applicant

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • A PhD, or close to completion, in a relevant discipline
  • Demonstrate ability to design, undertake, and analyse experiments in behavioural science, particularly decision making
  • Excellent quantitative skills, including the use of statistical packages and techniques
  • Excellent communications for both writing publications and verbal communications for effective interactions with team members
