Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for Gene Therapy based lung cancer Project:

Title of the Project: CRISPR/Cas based gene therapy project for lung cancer
Duration: 1 Year
Location: Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore

Qualification:

B.Tech with GATE or M.Sc/ M. Tech (Biomaterials, Tissue Engineering, Biotechnology.

with a minimum of 55% marks. Preference will be given to candidates with GATE Score.

Skill set required:

Candidate with work experience in CRISPR/Cas based gene editing is desirable.

Stipend:

Rs. 30,000/- for candidates with GATE or NET Score. Otherwise as per Institute norms.

Sponsoring Agency:

ICMR, Government of India

Work functions of the JRF:

The JRF will be required to do full time research related to this specific project, in particular CRISPR/Cas designing, characterization and validation of the constructs in-vitro, cancer cells culture, cell-based assays and imaging.
