At TU Dresden, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the GenderConceptGroup offers, subject to resources being available, a project position as

Research Associate / Postdoc

(Subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)

as part of the research project Digital Gender, starting 01.02.2020, limited until 31.01.2022. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG).

Tasks: Completion of a research project on fictional representations of the digitisation process from a cultural, literary and/or media studies and gender theoretical perspective; conception, organisation and realisation of scientific events; participation in the development of advanced training modules and teaching material on gender and digitisation as well as in projects and publications of the GenderConceptGroup within the framework of the research project Digital Gender.

Requirements: very good university degree (MA or equivalent) and qualified PhD / doctoral degree in gender studies or in cultural studies, literature and/or media studies (preferably comparative literature, English/American studies, German studies, Romance studies) with a focus on gender; interest in technology research (human-machine interaction, digitisation) and cultural theory; very good knowledge of German and English; commitment and ability to work in a team. Experience in the conception and organisation of scientific events and the acquisition of third-party funding is desired.
