This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a team of staff in the Rowett Institute, School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition.
The Rowett Institute is one of the foremost nutrition research institutes in Europe undertaking research to address some of the most compelling contemporary problems in nutrition. There is a wide range of research carried out within the Institute, from molecular nutrition through to public health.
Applications are invited for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer investigating the neurobiology of obesity and/or diabetes. The successful candidate will collaborate with Professor Lora Heisler’s group investigating the basic neurophysiology of appetite, body weight, and insulin action by examining the neurocircuitry of neurotransmitter and neuropeptide systems.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 8 salary scale (£52,559 - £59,135 per annum) for Senior Lecturers, or the Grade 7 salary scale (£41,526 - £49,552 per annum) for Lecturers, and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
Any appointment will be made subject to satisfactory references and a 3 year probation period.
