Operations Assistant (Research)
The duties of the Operations Assistant for the BHF Chair are as outlined in the BHF Award and include: PA support (BHF related diary management; dealing with enquiries; arranging travel and meetings; supporting Prof Gautel with his commitments to editorial boards, funding committees etc); HR administration (recruitment; arranging appraisals of BHF-funded staff); financial administration (managing Prof Gautel’s portfolio of grants; purchasing; liaising with suppliers); and supporting Prof Gautel in his role as BHF Chair. This includes arranging BHF site visits; annual reports; assisting with public engagement activities; organisation of conferences, e.g. of the London Muscle Conference, an annual event bringing together cardiac muscle researchers from KCL and other London institutions, and Mechanobiology meetings, a joint event with Warwick University. Both events are aimed at the wider scientific community at London Colleges working on cardiovascular and muscle-related topics to create new platforms for collaboration and networking.
This post will be offered as a fixed term contract until 30th September 2023.
The selection process will include a panel interview and an assessment.
