The School of Nursing makes a significant contribution to developing the future and existing health care workforce.  Working in partnership with a wide range of health service providers the School delivers a wide range of pre and post-registration programmes including higher / degree apprenticeships.

An opportunity has arisen in the School for an enthusiastic, NMC registered, nurse with significant experience post registration to join our team.  You will need recent experience of supporting learners in the workplace and have current knowledge of pre-registration healthcare professional education within the context of UK policy and practice.  In this role you will make a significant contribution to the work-based learning support for apprentices.  You will work in collaboration with staff in academic and work-based settings to support and facilitate apprentices’ learning, working to co-ordinate and integrate the apprentices’ ‘off the job’ and ‘on the job’ learning.

You will be an effective communicator able to collaborate effectively and with the skills to motivate and gain commitment from others.  As a proven team leader/member you will need demonstrable ability to use your initiative.  IT and social media skills are essential to this role. Experience of supporting apprentices in the workplace is not essential.

Whilst the role is based in Preston you will need to be able to undertake the significant travel required to fulfil the needs of this role.
