Job Description

Applications are invited for the Post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in INDO RUSSIA - DST RFBR funded research project in Centre for Disaster Mitigation and Management (CDMM), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore 632014, India.

Project Title: Natural hazards and monitoring for mountain territories in Russia and India
Sponsoring Agency: Department of Science and Technology (DST)
Number of position: One
Duration: 3 years

Qualification for the post:

Essential: M.E/M.Tech (Computer Science/IT/Electronics and Communication/Electronics and Instrumentation) GATE qualification

Desirable:

Good Programming skills in C++ programming and Python, Knowledge in IOT and Sensors and Mobile Applications. The candidate should be willing to register for Ph.D.

Salary:

• Rs. 31,000/-per month + 8% HRA (for first two years)
• Rs. 35,000/- per month + 8% HRA (for third year)

If no GATE qualification the salary will be fixed accordingly as per the DST Norms

Nature of appointment: Purely on temporary basis
