The Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences is a research intensive Faculty with extensive teaching operations in Australia, Asia and the Middle East.

The School of Mechanical, Materials, Mechatronic and Biomedical Engineering, which is one of the top 10 Engineering Schools in Australia, is committed to research and teaching excellence through its world-class undergraduate and postgraduate programs in a range of exciting technological areas.

The position will contribute to research efforts on an ARC funded project "A smart functional lubricant for hot strip rolling".

The successful candidate is expected to have advanced experience and knowledge in glass lubricants, oxidation at high temperatures, and high quality research experience and capability in tribology and advanced characterisation techniques. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to a vigorous research program that complements and enhances the extensive interdisciplinary engineering network at the University of Wollongong.
