The Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity is a joint venture between The University of Melbourne and The Royal Melbourne Hospital, combining research, teaching, public health and reference laboratory services, diagnostic services and clinical care in infectious diseases and immunity.
We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing Communications Officer to join the Doherty Institute’s Communications Team in 2020 for a maternity cover for 8 months. The Marketing Communications Officer will take responsibility for or contribute to a wide variety of communications processes and initiatives across multiple channels including the website, intranet, social media, and events. The Marketing Communications Officer will also be required to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
The successful applicant is likely to be a dedicated team player with highly developed verbal and written communication skills. You will work with a level of independence and contribute to strategic initiatives, which requires maturity and a strong professional interest and enthusiasm for science and communications. Experience in the higher education sector will be an advantage.
