Overview:

The post holder will be required to work as part of a team providing a high quality porterage and post room service to staff, students and visitors to the university. They will be required to assist in the set-up of exam rooms, to move and store furniture and equipment, to set-up and de-rig for QMUL events, to staff events as required, to handle and dispose of waste items.

They will also be required to distribute and collect post and parcels to and from departments meeting service level agreements; process mail, signing goods in and out; deal with general enquiries and assist in the post room as required.

The post is full time (35 hours per week), permanent appointment, with an expected start date of November 2019. Starting salary will be in the range of £22,212 - £27,034 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
