Full-time research intern position at the Center for Energy Science and Technology

The Center for Energy Science and Technology at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) in Moscow, invites applications for a full-time research intern position to work with Prof. Keith Stevenson on the study of new types of redox flow batteries in the framework of European project Horizon 2020.

The main responsibilities will include:

• Development of simulation tools for redox flow batteries using modern Physics-based and Machine learning approaches;
• Numerical simulation of the battery at different conditions (Python/Matlab);
• Academic activities, i.e. writing papers, world class conferences/dissemination events participation.

Suitable applicants are expected to have an intention for academic career, a genuine interest for innovation, an ability to work in an international research group, have basic programming skills (Python, Matlab) and have a background in the following areas:

• Applied physics and mathematics;
• Numerical methods;
• Electrochemistry.

The starting date is February 2020.

 A relevant MSc or equivalent qualification is required. The position is open to both young MSc graduates and experienced researchers. Benefits include a medical insurance and a relocation package for applicants who are not residents of the Moscow region.
