This unique and innovativecollaboration has been made possible with GBP 20m from the Office for Students (OfS) and match funding from universities and industry partners. The IOC will developand deliver innovative, industry-focused higher education across the UK. It will develop accredited degree programmes and short courses aimed at professionals, as well as working to widen the participation of women, returners to work, and hard to reach groups. Digital skills are becoming important in a range of professions so we also aim to target these multiple industry sectors; including automotive and manufacturing, creative, and healthcare. As a core partner, Coventry University is committed to the successof the IOC, and we are establishing a dedicated team to achieve this.

We are looking for people who are keen to work in a demanding but rewarding environment, people who recognise the need for digital upskilling across industry in the UK, and want to be a part of the solution. One thing is clear: you want to make a difference. If this sounds like you, we invite you to apply for the exciting new posts we are creating to support the IOC.

This role is an integral part of the Coventry University IoC team. The post holder will play an important role in curriculum development and teaching programme delivery. You will contribute to teaching and learning in the field of Computer Science in Coventry University's Institute of Coding delivery and engage actively in industry sector-oriented programmes at all levels, as well as CPD course development with a particular focus on data driven application and machine learning applications.

Relevant industrial or research experiencein one or more of the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning and data science is an essential requirement for the post. Candidates with experience in developing GCHQ-accredited or other leading industrial certification programmes are particularly encouraged to apply. Prior work experience in degree apprenticeship is advantageous.

You will actively engage and manage learning innovation activities such as student learning record, learning analytics and university student software house, and contribute to the wider student experience through personal tutoring, participation in recruitment, and involvement in employability initiatives. You will contribute to committees and working groups, and where appropriate supervising or mentoring other members of staff, you will also undertake professional development in support of teaching, scholarly activities, and student welfare.

The successful candidate will be a member of the school of Computing, Electronics and Mathematics at Coventry University and will have the opportunity to engage in teaching and research outside of the IoC programme.
