Role Description

Education Services provides a wide range of support to the University's Schools.  The department’s strategic objectives are to provide a professional and efficient service to the University's Schools in all of these areas.  This requires engagement at all levels within the Schools, and close liaison with other central service departments to provide a coherent student experience.

This vacancy is for a Senior Registry Administrator covering all areas of Registry. The daily work of Registry involves working with the student records database (SITS).  The Registry team monitors assignment submissions and exam attendance, enters marks, monitors research student progress, receives research student theses, processes changes to registration and responds to requests for letters, certificates, transcripts and education verifications. Registry is also responsible for ensuring that examinations are conducted in accordance with Senate Regulations.

You will be responsible for proactively managing Registry work relating to the specialist interpretation of SITS data and the Senate Regulations and Handbooks in order to ensure quality control of specialist academic administration.  The role is essential in supporting the Registry Manager in the proper management of all Registry activity, and in identifying opportunities to improve and enhance all related activities.

You will also manage a small team of Registry Administrators and will be responsible for the line management, training and performance of the team.

You will be educated to A Level standard (or equivalent) with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes and usual office equipment, able to work methodically, under pressure and to a high degree of accuracy.  In addition, you will be flexible in your approach, able to build and sustain relationships, working collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Previous experience of working with computer based records systems and preferably SITS (Tribal Student Records System), an understanding of higher education administration and previous line management experience are desirable.

For an informal discussion, please contact Jo Sully, Registry Manager, on (T); +44 (0)1793 314820 or (E); jo.sully@cranfield.ac.uk.
