Queen’s University Belfast’s William J Clinton Leadership Institute has become a focal point for world class leadership development and executive education in Northern Ireland and further afield. A significant entity within Queen’s Management School, the Institute provides over 500 organisations from the private, public and third sectors with a range of high-end open and bespoke programmes.

We are now looking to appoint a Director to provide executive management of the William J Clinton Leadership Institute. Working collaboratively with colleagues, this involves scoping new business development opportunities and leading the development and design of bespoke and custom programmes as well as the delivery of executive education.  A senior post, reporting to the Head of School, the new Director will establish an international brand and reputation for the Institute, making it a market leader for the provision of executive education.

The Director will deliver an ambitious and sustainable strategy for the Institute, positioning the University as a leader in bespoke executive education and leadership development in the UK and Ireland, with substantial market activity internationally.  The role will entail extensive engagement with business, government and the voluntary sector, in addition to working closely with internal stakeholders across the University.

Strong candidates will bring a successful track record in building and maintaining collaborative partnerships with external businesses, public sector clients and other organisations for the design and delivery of leadership development programmes. Experience of designing course materials, planning and organising the delivery and assessment of courses, along with subject specific knowledge in areas related to leadership, management, personal effectiveness and learning and development, will be highly sought.  The successful candidate will also possess excellent leadership and project management skills and the ability to think strategically, commercially, and entrepreneurially.
