This is a great opportunity to apply your Civil or Mechanical Engineering expertise to lead an ambitious two-year project and become part of the core business development strategy of ESS Modular (ESSM).   As part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between Northumbria University and industrial partner ESS Modular, you will be based at ESSM and work collaboratively with Northumbria academics.

ESS Modular is a leading design and build principal contractor in off-site construction, operating throughout the UK in major markets such as education, healthcare, commercial and residential. Off-site construction is an innovative solution, that is now a growing trend within the UK construction industry.

This KTP will develop a high-rise steel modular building system with enhanced structural and energy performance and associated design rules, with a particular emphasis on connections, bracings and stability.
