The William Harvey Research Institute leads major international programmes investigating the genetic and pathogenic mechanisms of cardiovascular, inflammatory and endocrine diseases. The Institute is also closely integrated with other Institutes within Barts and The London Medical School, which was ranked in the top 5 UK Medical Schools in the 2008 UK Research Assessment Exercise.

Applications are sought for the post of Clinical Trials Practitioner/Research Nurse within the William Harvey Research Institute. The post-holder will join a team of doctors, nurses and clinical trials practitioners working on a number of clinical studies.The post is primarily to assist with the recruitment and ongoing care of patients taking part in clinical trials. 

Applicants should be either a qualified general nurse with a minimum of 2 years post registration experience or have the equivalent of a first degree and an interest in clinical research and/or working in a health care environment.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme. 

The post is full time and for one year in the first instance. Starting salary will be £34,220-40,194 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
