Contract: Fixed Term for 24 months

This is a great opportunity to apply your electronics engineering and design expertise in an ambitious two-year project and become a key part of the future strategy of CheaperGroup.

CheaperGroup are working in partnership with Northumbria University to explore the future of smarter and more adaptable systems.  You will benefit from the ongoing support and guidance of a wider project team from the Company and the University, but will have the opportunity to own and drive the project.

CheaperGroup is ‘the business for business’, supplying some of the UK’s most commercially savvy enterprises with essential services. This KTP project will develop a 'smart waste' system incorporating new product(s) and services, that will help CheaperGroup introduce new ways of working more closely with their customers. You will be required to develop a working knowledge of SMART “Internet of things” technologies and Value Based Design. 

You will be at the forefront of developing an innovative embedded smart waste system and providing technical solutions that bring together your mechanical, electronic & instrumentation skills.
