Job Description

Research assistant position in Computer Science. The successful applicant will work within a research project for 8 months at the College of Information Technology. The candidate will work on the research project “Improving End-user Quality of Experience in Adaptive Video Streaming over HTTP”.

He/she will

• Study existing techniques for user QoE optimization by performing a thorough literature review.
• Design and develop an optimization algorithm for QoE.
• Implement this new algorithm and do a comparison analysis with exiting algorithms.

Minimum Qualification

Master degree in Computer Science or related field. The applicants must have a very strong command of English with very evident proficiency in scientific writing. A publication record of at least two indexed journal papers.

Preferred Qualification

Strong background in distributed Computing and programming. Evidence of publication in International Conference and/or Journal.

Expected Skills/Rank/Experience

Strong practical and theoretical background in Computer Science
