In this newly created role, UCB is seeking to appoint a commercially-focussed Head of Commercial Operations to deliver a wide range of client-focussed services across the University. This is an exciting opportunity to shape, consult, advise and lead on the transformation of the University’s commercial operations, developing innovative commercial partnerships and bespoke business packages. This role will operate at management level to create an integrated approach to commercial activity across the University.

Of particular significance for this role is leadership in ensuring that maximum income is generated from the University’s residential accommodation and teaching facilities; conference business and events are successfully marketed and delivered ensuring an exceptional client focus; and catering/domestic outlets provide a high quality, value-for-money offer. You will develop extensive contacts with local and regional businesses and those further afield.

The post-holder will be highly organised and have the ability to multi-task and prioritise a busy workload effectively. The position required a degree of flexibility towards working hours, including some evening and weekend work.

A proven track record in the commercial/private sector with a hospitality, retail, events management or an associated sector background is essential. You will be a results-orientated, target driven, highly collaborative individual with the ability to influence in business and with colleagues across the University.
