Applications are invited for appointment as Principal Professional Practitioner (PPP)/Senior Professional Practitioner (SPP) in Public Health Education in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 498863), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance. 

Applicants should possess an M.D. or a Ph.D. degree in public health, healthcare education, medical science, or an equivalent doctoral degree in a related field. They should have substantial experience in teaching pedagogy, curriculum development and enhancement, and academic programme planning and management at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels in the university setting.  They should demonstrate outstanding educational leadership, teaching excellence, and distinction in the practice of teaching and learning evidenced by teaching excellence awards and teaching grants. They should also present sustained, exceptional contributions to, and accomplishments in, curriculum development and enhancement, educational innovation, and sustaining a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Experience in conducting and publishing research is an added advantage.

The appointee will take up a leadership role in managing the suite of educational programmes offered by the School, and contribute to the overall teaching effectiveness, curriculum and pedagogical development, quality assurance, and accreditation/review exercises of our courses. One main responsibility will be to manage and oversee the Master of Public Health programme.  Depending on his/her qualifications and track record in global public health, the appointee may be invited to take up additional leadership roles for other undergraduate/postgraduate/executive courses offered by the School. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.  Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
