Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate to conduct analysis on a newly-funded Nuffield Foundation project which will explore individual and treatment characteristics of mothers attending substance use treatment services – and specifically to investigate the relation between these characteristics and childcare issues.
Based in the Department of Psychology at Guy’s Campus, the post-holder’s primary role will be to analyse patient electronic records using a linked database formed between the SLaM Case Registry Interactive Search (CRIS) electronic health registry, Hospital Episode Statistics (HES) and family court dataset (Cafcass) and actively contribute to stakeholder reports and results dissemination.
Successful candidates will be educated to Doctoral level in Psychology or Behavioural Medicine or a related discipline (either completed or close to completion) or equivalent professional experience in these subject areas; demonstrate specialist knowledge and experience in the design and conduct of observational research studies and skills in quantitative data analysis. Experience with mixed-methods studies is also desirable.
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 11 months.
