£23,754 - £28,332 per annum, pro rata (0.6 FTE)

Part-time: 21 hours per week

The Student Support Co-ordinator will be responsible for co-ordinating and facilitating access to student support for UWS and being the key contact for student support at Dumfries Campus.

You will work closely with the Funding Team, making referrals and assessing applications to SAAS and university funds in order to support widening access, progression and retention and financial capability.  The successful candidate will also contribute to remote service delivery across all campuses, as well as in person at Dumfries Campus, liaising with teams within student services and across other professional services and academic departments.

You will meet regularly with students to provide information and assistance within clear guidelines, making referrals to specialist teams such as Counselling, Disability, Funding & Advice and Careers and Academic Skills.  The role also requires you to facilitate digital communication as required, and to possess a high degree of flexibility and willingness to adapt to the changing demands of an increasingly varied student journey.  The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to demonstrate close attention to detail, have excellent communication skills and have administrative experience within an educational setting.
