The School of Health Sciences , located at the University’s leafy Avery Hill Campus in Eltham South London, is a dynamic multi-professional School. Frequently commended for its partnership working across the health and social care sector, the School delivers a range of undergraduate and post graduate programmes that lead to registration in nursing, paramedic science, midwifery, and speech and language therapy. We also have a wide portfolio of post qualifying provision including the MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice and the Faculty’s PhD in Health & Social Care programme. The School has a vibrant research culture contributing fully to the faculty’s ambitious  and achievable long-term plan to build internationally leading research.

The faculty is currently investing substantially in our clinical simulation laboratories and will be introducing cutting edge technology including virtual reality to support our paramedic science student learning experience. Following a recent Faculty re-structure and a growth in student numbers we are looking to  expand our paramedic science programme team. We are seeking two experienced paramedic practitioners/educators  who will have a commitment to maintaining and building the University’s excellence in teaching and learning. We welcome applications from experienced paramedics who are keen to develop their role as educators, having developed teaching and assessing skills through a practice assessor or equivalent role. The School would also consider part-time working and or secondments from an ambulance service

Successful applicants will have opportunity to complete a PGCHE and progress through our GOLD framework to achieve HEA fellowship, as well as contribute to the School’s  research and enterprise activities. Opportunity also exists to undertake doctoral studies through a professional doctorate or PhD programme.
