The multi-year LX Transformation Program is creating a new digital learning and teaching ecosystem for UTS, and enhancing and re-energising our approach to blended learning. The Learning Design and Technology Specialist is part of the central Learner Experience team contributing to this university-wide rollout.

About the Role

As part of a team in the Institute for Interactive Media and Learning (IML), Learning Design and Technology Specialists work as part of collaborative course teams to provide guidance, support, resources and advice for teaching staff in developing and integrating blended learning into students’ learning experiences. You will also contribute innovative solutions as we enhance our learning management systems and transform learner experience.

You will also contribute your skills to the programs and operations of our innovative learner experience lab - LX.lab.

About You

You will bring to this role:

  • Demonstrated skill in the design and development of technology-enabled learning
  • Excellent project management skills, including capacity to work within tight timeframes and budgets and monitor progress effectively
  • Experience providing effective support for academics in their use of learning technologies for students in higher education, including use of the features of learning management systems
  • Experience with design and development of a wide variety of types of online learning resources for students in higher education.
  • Knowledge of learning theories and principles relevant to the effective design and implementation of technologies for student learning, including assessment and feedback, in higher education (essential at HEW8; desirable at HEW7).

Remuneration

Base Salary Range:

  • $89,179 to $98,644 pa (HEW 7)
  • $100,317 to $114,250 pa (HEW 8)

This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment is on a fixed term basis to June 30 2021.
