We are seeking to recruit an IT Analyst / Programmer as part of the Information Systems team in IT Services.

This role will work on current projects and operational tasks. The initial focus for this role will be on the support and maintenance of the University’s timetabling systems and its associated business processes. Working closely with the Office of the Registrar the candidate will support existing and also develop new points of integration from and to other business systems such as the University’s eLearning platform and student record database. This is a varied, exciting and technology-focused role requiring the candidate to create detailed functional specifications mapping to key business processes and to develop and deliver elements of systems including data migration and integrations, security and business intelligence reporting. This role will offer opportunities to further develop skills in areas such as software development and testing, web development, data base administration and data analysis.

The responsibilities of the post holder may change over time in line with ongoing developments within IT Services, the University and at national level.

Administrative Officer Grade II Salary Scale: €37,976 – €54,647 p.a. (9 points)

Appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance pay guidelines.

*New entrants to the public sector will be appointed on the first point of the above scale.
