The role

We are seeking to appoint a full-time, permanent (confirmation path) Senior Lecturer to teach into our Master of Business Administration Programme. This position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to a Programme in a University of high international standing. In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Teaching (on campus and online) post-experience students on the MBA Programme.
  • Contributing to the research activities of the School, including publishing in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, obtaining external funding support and supervising research students.
  • Academic leadership of the MBA programme, including chairing exam boards, liaising with the external examiner and representing the department on the Commerce Divisional Board.
  • Contributing to the effective and efficient running of the School and its responsibilities within the University and wider community.

Your skills and experience

The successful candidate will have:

  • A PhD in a Business or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated evidence of high quality teaching in a post-experience environment.
  • A track record of conducting high quality research, with publications in top quality international journals and/or books.
  • Strong commitment to developing collaborative working relationships with colleagues and to supporting the University's Māori, Pacific, and Sustainability strategic frameworks.
