The University of Greenwich, along with partners Kent County Council, MidKent College and the Tavistock Institute, have recently won a grant from the European Union Interreg 2Seas fund to deliver the Building Human Capital 21, (BHC) 21 project.

The School of Engineering at the University of Greenwich is seeking to appoint a Training Advisor to help with the delivery of this project. This will include promoting the project with the local business community and to identify and develop placements within these local businesses.  The role holder will advise organisations on their training, development and upskilling needs and in particular on the delivery of the work-based training associated with the BHC21 project and other Faculty work-based programmes, providing ongoing support for both the companies and trainees.

The School of Engineering offers a range of degrees including in civil, chemical, mechanical and electrical & electronic engineering at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.   In addition to full-time students, a growing number of students are part-time degree apprenticeship students that combine study at the University with learning in the workplace.

The successful applicant will have significant experience gained through working in a technical and / or skills training and development role, have excellent communication skills and have experience and confidence in liaising and networking with business and industry at senior management levels.
