The successful candidate is required to represent the area Privacy and Security in research and teaching. Furthermore, we expect the successful candidate to cover social, ethic, as well as economical aspects of privacy and security within the teaching activities. The ability and willingness to start and continue interdisciplinary cooperation projects within the diverse technical and scientific community in Dresden - especially with institutions that are members of DRESDEN-concept - and other faculties within TU Dresden (mainly from the Engineering Sciences) is of special importance. Also, excellent international publications, international contacts in academia and industry as well as evidence of the successful supervision of PhDs are crucial. Finally, experience and active participation in self-administration within the academic boards of the Faculty of Computer Science and of TU Dresden are expected.

We expect very good teaching skills as well as the ability and willingness to offer courses in English language. Proficiency of the German language is not a prerequisite for appointment. However, we expect the successful candidate to acquire language skills sufficient to conduct teaching and administrative tasks within two years after appointment.

Applicants should exhibit experience in acquisition and management of third-party-funded projects. A habilitation or equivalent achievements are a precondition for an application.
