LEARNING, TEACHING & CURRICULUM

  • Full-time, fixed term appointment (to October 2020)

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the University of Wollongong (UOW) Peer Learning team and support our students through the delivery of innovative peer learning programs.

The UOW Peer Learning Unit sits within Learning, Teaching and Curriculum in the DVC (A) portfolio. UOW has a strong national and international reputation in the field of peer learning and has acted as the National Centre for PASS since 2005.

The team works collaboratively with UOW Faculties, departments and students to design and implement programs and services that contribute to the achievement of institutional goals.

The core service offerings include the UOW Peer Assisted Student Sessions (PASS) Program, Peer Academic Coaches (PACs), the Global Communicators Program (GCP) and a leadership role in the UOW Learning Co-Op.

As the Peer Learning Coordinator, you will be responsible for the face-to-face and online delivery of a number of peer learning programs at UOW’s Wollongong, regional and metro campuses. You will work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders to align program delivery with the needs of specific student cohorts within Faculties and on each campus.

The role supervises and supports a large number of casual student leaders across multiple campuses. It requires a high level of organisational skills, excellent communication skills and a strong commitment towards fostering positive relationships with staff and students.

You will be prompted to respond to the selection criteria as part of the online application.

For further information please contact Andrea Kornhoff on (02) 4221 5123.

The University of Wollongong is committed to workplace equity, diversity and inclusion.  We value and acknowledge the importance of our people’s diverse experiences, talents and cultures. We embrace diversity a key component of attracting and retaining talent at UOW.
