Full-time, permanent (Part Time and Job-share Applications Welcome)

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Assistant Professor with the appropriate academic qualifications and professional experience to contribute to delivery of our highly successful aviation management degree programmes. The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to deliver elements of teaching pertaining to aeronautical principles, maintenance management and planning and design of air transport operations.

Ideally educated to at least Masters level or with appropriate professional qualifications and experience at an equivalent level. Academically qualified individuals with an ATPL (no type rating or particular experience necessary) or possibly with a PPL, would be particularly welcome. Teaching or training delivery experience is desirable, although the University will provide appropriate professional development for the right candidate. You will be able to demonstrate strong analytical, oral and written communication skills and effective team working ability.

You will need to share our passion for delivering a positive student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning at the heart of everything we do and be able to demonstrate significant knowledge in your area of specialisation. You must be willing to work flexibly to promote and support international partnerships, as well as be willing to potentially deliver teaching onsite atone of our international partners for periods of up to two weeks at a time.

Successful candidates will be encouraged to become research active. Experience of working on applied research projects or contracts, as well as participation in professional practice/consultancy will be advantageous. The position is also open to candidates who wish to focus on teaching practice, development and management.
